Info: The La Chacra when built had MacGreggor hatch-covers & forced ventilation. The crew accomodation was of high standard. Each apprentice had a self-contained flat with study & bathroom. She saw 16 knots in trials & in the summer of 1955, she made history by being the first ship to lift 3 cargoes of grain out of Churchill before the ice set in Hudson Bay.
